What is the Quest Class at OW?
Quest is a semester elective class reserved for Gifted students with an IEP. It provides an individualized environment for students to collaborate with other gifted peers, focus on individual needs, complete independent study projects, and receive academic and affective support. Quest is a great option for students who want to spend in-school time exploring an independent interest, preparing for post-high school opportunities, taking online/extension learning courses, or learning more about yourself as a learner.
If you are a member of Quest, be sure to join the Google Classroom for updates, daily activities, and assignments!

What Can I Do In QUEST?
Since QUEST is designed to be a support for what students need, it may look different for every student enrolled. Some students use QUEST to take an online course for high school or college credit, while others use it to complete a career-focused mentorship experience (found with support from the Quest teacher). Other options include test or college prep work, completion of independent research projects, leadership or talent development. Students are expected to expand their learning and perform at high levels while taking risks and contributing to their field of interest or community in some way. The QUEST teacher will also prepare lessons to target areas of need (determined by survey or self-identification) for individual students as well as groups of students.
